Robert Ankawi is the operator of the Sedona-Oak Creek Mobil gas station and convenience store. He is part of a hard working family of retailers that believe in service and value. I found out that he is a huge sports fan and stopped by to get his thoughts on football. Robert is from Detroit and thanks to a vendor he will be in the suite seats at the Cardinals vs Detroit game on November 19.
He has been in Sedona for a year now and his favorite sports are football and basketball. He played his sports at Bishop Foley High in Madison Heights, MI., for 3 seasons and spent one year at Utica High. He is married with a six-month-old son and a 3 year old daughter.
I did not want to put him on the spot, but I did it anyway and asked him for his Super Bowl picks. Without hesitation he said it would be Carolina and New England. He believes that the Cardinals can and should win the NFC West, especially if their defense stays healthy.
I asked him to pick his top NFL defensive player; he has two, Champ Bailey (Broncos) and Adrian Wilson (Cardinals). For Fantasy Football his top three choices would be Reggie Bush (Saints) at running back, Chad Johnson (Bengals) at receiver and Peyton Manning (Colts) at QB. All good choices.
